LiceSonic

This website provides public information about the LiceSonic project, an environment-friendly ultrasonic solution to control sea lice in open finfish production.

Project Description

The goal of LiceSonic is to provide the aquaculture industry with an environmental friendly, chemical free, robust and easy solution, that can effectively control sea lice based on ultrasound technology. The final product will not harm fish, or cause nuisance to the marine environment. Our idea is to develop a system that only targets sea lice when they are present in the facility, by combining the technology with fish- and water quality monitoring.

LiceSonic is coordinated by LG Sonic and funded by Eurostars.

Eurostars receive co-funding from Eureka Member Countries and the European Union Horizon 2020 Framework Programme.

The project officially started on the 1st of May 2017 and will take 30-months to complete.
